I asked our "Route Genie" a few questions about what kind of bikes and tires one might need for the Death Ride. This guy has been racing mountain bikes and designing off-road routes in Kansas for years, so if there's anyone who can share some tips, he's your man. This is what he had to say:
TYPE OF BIKE: Mountain, Cyclocross or Hybrid
TIRE SIZE: 35mm or 1.75" and larger
TYPE OF TERRAIN: Mix of gravel and dirt roads. No single track.
