NO WHINING!!!
This ride was developed to prove that challenging rides do exist in the Great Plains. Any whining West Coast weenies, or any whining weenies of any geographic location should just stay home. This ride is for survivors, people who can get out and get the job done without complaining about the lack of services. The pioneers came out and opened up the west with a lot fewer resources that what we have. They did have common sense and the abilities it took to survive. If you are lacking in a good backcountry know how, ride with someone who has it. Mother Nature gives out very few second chances. You will receive a map and you will get course information at the riders meeting. We also strongly suggest that you read this entire brochure and, if you have Internet access, check out the website. Both have a lot of useful information. It is a lot easier to pull this stuff out of your head than to read it on the trail. In both, there will be things that will help you prepare for this ride. To not be prepared is to be surprised! Mother Nature does not like surprises!
