Maps

You will be given a map at the start of the ride. Don't lose it! The course may not be marked so the map will be your one link to the return home. All it takes is one wrong turn and you can be seriously lost. Do not, repeat DO NOT! assume that the people ahead of you know where they are going!! We have observed a Lemming like behavior on the part of many a lost biker. We cannot guarantee trail markings, curious cows and cowboys can easily destroy a marked turn.

Maps will not be mailed out or posted on the website.

Navigation

If you have a great sense of direction and can accurately mentally tick off the miles as you roll along, you probably don't need to bring a compass for cloudy days, or have a mileage computer on your bike to help you keep track. The other 99.99% of you ought to have those items with you and make sure they work! There are no trees with moss on them to indicate direction.
